I have no internet connection

Category:

If you're experiencing issues with your internet connection, you need to check the following steps to identify and diagnose the problem.

Firstly, ensure that the cables and connection points inside your home are secure. Loose, spliced, or damaged cables can greatly contribute to connection issues. If possible, try using a different cable. Your furry friends at home or in your workplace might have curiously tampered with the cables without your knowledge :)

1. Check if your device is receiving power. If the lights on your device are not on, check the power button and adapter. Verify if there's electricity in the outlet where your adapter is plugged in. If the power issue persists, try testing with a different adapter that matches the "Output" values written on your current adapter. If it works with a different adapter, then your problem is resolved.

2. If your modem or router is receiving power but you have no internet connection, turn off your modem or router, wait for a few minutes, and then turn it back on. This may resolve some connection issues.

3. Ensure that all cables on your modem and router are properly connected.

4. Check if your modem and router are overheating. If they are hot, let them cool down for a while

5. You can try resolving connection issues by testing with a different modem or router.

6. If your DSL light is solid but your internet light is not on or is red, it means your device is experiencing authentication and IP address acquisition issues. Shut down your device, wait for a few minutes, and then turn it back on to resolve the issue. If the problem persists, you may need to reset your device to factory settings and reconfigure it.
